Day 10 Argenon

The forecast wasn't good so we thought we'd press on. With a few disagreements with the sat nav we ended up in Argenon-sur-Creuse. Walked into the town and saw the remnants of an old Roman bridge.

Day 9 Troyes

After driving to France and finding the site we'd chosen was awful we had to drive further on not on main roads and saw some lovely churches.

Ended up at a site near Troyes very near to a lake. Nice site. 

Day 8 Echternach

Left Belgium and headed for lovely rural Luxembourg. Stopped in Echternach and had a big cake and a walk around the town.

Then headed for Saarburg in Germany. Beautiful  town.

Day 7 Ghent

After a late start ( we couldn't decide where to go because of the weather) we ended up on a site near Ghent. We then cycled into the city. It has some lovely old buildings and is a university town.

Day 16 Perigueux

Arrived at the vw dealer at 9:00. Two hours later we were told the van had 2 faults - the first a sensor that we shouldn't have been driving without and the panel that controls the roof was broken! At least this is what we could make out with a little french and no English ! As they had a sensor in stock they would replace that. We were given a Up to drive of for lunch. Left hand drive and gears!!!

When we returned we collected the van and drove to Perigueux where the insurance had booked us a room. The bikes safely locked in their storage room we took some time to recover and headed into the town. Wow it's beautiful .

Day 6 Groede

Cycled to Nieuwuvliet looking for the windmill and then for a cafe Dad had seen but he couldn't remember the way so we ended up doing the long way round to Oostburg.

 A nice town which wasn't very busy but a lot of the shops were open despite it being a Bank holiday.

Day 5 Vlissingen

Went on the ferry with our bikes to Vlissengen and cycled around the coast a little way.

Jo and Paul left about 4:00.
