Days 11- 13 Dordogne
Tuesday 30 June 2009
Domain del la Cro Magnon, St. Cyprien. Lovely site, above the Dordogne. Very big with 2 pools and we've only seen 1 other campervan - and no people yet!
Visited the illuminated caves (Gauffre de Proumeyssac) and went in from the top via a drop down basket. Then on to the "village" cut into the cliffs: La Roque St.Christophe.
Temp up to 37deg. Took a short boat trip down the Dordogne from Le Roc Gageac. (site is still empty despite having 100+ places).
Wednesday - Bergerac. Lunch in a covered café under the shadows of Cyrano de Bergerac, with its cobbled streets, then off to Arcachon in the rain and lightning.

Days 7-9 en route to the Dordogne
Monday 29 June 2009
26.6 Isle de Oleraon
The journey turned into over 7 hours due to French farmers shutting the motorway and causing chaos!
Quite a large site but OK. Cycled, and drove out the lighthouse.
28.6 L'Etang Bleu at Marevil, North Dordogne.
29th very hot. Quite a large but quiet site. English owned and NOISY children at the pool.

Leominster 2009
Sunday 31 May 2009
Home Farm, Bircher, 28th - 31st May 2009 with Steve & Linda Barritt
1st use of awning but didn't take bikes.
Lovely site with good views; weather was hot and we did a lot of walking, including across the field to a pub with weird opening times.
