Day 25 Rosslare

Although the forecast predicted sun we had white skies and cold winds. We did a bike ride to Our Lady’s island and on to a small village with a windmill.

In the afternoon and evening we had a walk to the beach.

Day 24 Rosslare

Wicklow was our first stop for a tour of the jail.

And on to Rosslare and a lovely stroll on the beach.

Day 23 Dublin

Bus into town again. Saw the bog people dating from 200 bc in the museum- amazing.

 Walked a lot and managed to get back just as the rain started.

Day 22 Dublin

After Mart did a park run at Athlone we had a swift dash down the motorway to a site outside Dublin.

We caught a bus in and had a couple of hours walking around.

And back on the bus! 

Day 21 Lough Ree

After a long journey we arrived at the site while it was still quite quiet so we picked a spot overlooking the water. Nothing else today as next stop is Dublin!

Day 20 Eniskillen

Long drive today into Northern Ireland and the town made famous by a bombing in 1987 by the IRA.

Spent the afternoon at a National Trust house Castle Coole. Neo classical with all  original furniture and fittings. Very interesting.

Day 19 Achill Island

Drove out to Achill Island to a site overlooking the sea.

Met up with Helen and Steve and cycled to Keel and got caught in the rain.

Had a walk to the beach in the evening.
